Kungfu Panda is just not any other animation movie. It was released in 2008, but I saw it only in 2013. Very late, I know. Since then, ‘Po’ is a name that I respect a lot. A name which is so short but taught me big things. Spoiler alert!
- MOST people can do a lot of extraordinary things but they simply choose to live their life listening to the society or parents. Your don’t wanna do that, you have the potential to do extraordinary things. all you need is some guts to take the first step.
“YESTERDAY is history, tomorrow is a mystery. But today is a gift that’s why its called present.”
Says Oogway to Po. Po was someone who was obsessed with ‘tomorrow’. Live life one day at a time. It’s worth living that way. Looking back 4 years, I don’t think there is a single regrettable day. I just learned my mistakes and carried on. Although, I will not say I have lived each day to the fullest. But it was always one day at a time.
- WHATEVER you are looking for, is not around you, It’s within you. Until Po realized what the dragon scroll actually meant, he didn’t know he was capable enough to defeat Tai Lung. Remember, just as Po’s dad tells him, there is no secret. Only the illusion of secret.
- PO was very concerned about what others will think of him. A lot of people around us got the same issue. It’s bad. You should not be worried about what some people you meet in life would think about you, after all, most of the people you meet won’t be with you for long, so why give a rat’s about what they think of you? None of them truly cares about you. They are just curious.
- DO not underestimate anyone, Tai Lung says in the climax.
“You can’t defeat me! You… You’re just… a big fat… Panda”. Then comes my most favorite dialog from the entire movie. “I’m not a big fat panda. I’m THE BIG FAT Panda”.
Tai Lang underestimated the looks of Po. Tai Lang is a villain. Tail Lang is stupid. Don’t be like Tai Lang.
Valkashnam: I nicknamed my ex-crush ‘Po’. For a while, she didn’t get exactly why. “Is it because the panda is fat?” Once she asked me. Still no idea how the female brain works. 😯
Later I went on the explain why and how the name ‘Po’ inspires me and how much honored she should be to have that name. 😛 Nope. Don’t ask who, I’m not gonna say.
